September is Library Card Sign-Up Month and the Crown Point Library wants to make sure that your child has the smartest card of all — a library card. Observed since 1987, this is a time when the American Library Association and libraries across the country remind parents that a library card is the most important school supply of all. Library cards are FREE and bring you a world of opportunity— no matter what your age.

 

Here are the wonderful things you can do with a Crown Point Library library card:

• Borrow books—find a quiet spot, curl up with a book and enjoy!

    - adult fiction (over 22,000 titles in our collection)

    - non-fiction books (over 25,000 titles on our collection)

    - young adult books (over 3,000 in our collection)

    - children's books (over 38,000 titles in our collection)

• Borrow audio books (over 2,000 in our collection)

• Borrow DVDs and video tapes (over 5,300 in our collection)

• Check out music CDs (over 2,100 in our collection)

• Use the internet (FREE wireless!)

• Use computer word processing

• Access online databases from home and in the library

• Place books on hold
